Yacht Club de Monaco

Founded in 1953 by Prince Rainier and presided over by HSH the Sovereign Prince Albert II since 1984, the Yacht Club de Monaco brings together more than 2,000 members from 66 nationalities. Many of the world’s most prestigious private yachts fly the Yacht Club de Monaco’s burgee, testimony to its unique position on the international yachting scene.

Fondation Prince Albert II

In June 2006, HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco decided to establish his Foundation to address our planet’s alarming environmental situation. The Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation is dedicated to the protection of the environment and the promotion of sustainable development on a global scale. The Foundation supports initiatives of public and private organizations, in the fields of research and studies, technological innovation and socially-aware practices.


For over 120 years, SMEG has distributed electricity and natural gas in the Principality of Monaco. Its mission is also to maintain and operate all public lighting installations.
Moreover, since 1987, SMEG has operated an energy plant that feeds a thermo-electric refrigerating plant. This provides heating and cooling to the urban network serving the Fontvieille district, by recovering energy from the waste recycling centre of its subsidiary Société Monégasque d’Assainissement (SMA). In an ongoing quest to improve the welfare and comfort of the Monegasque population by respecting the environment and in complete safety, SMEG accompanies the development of the Principality of Monaco in a sustainable way.

International Powerboating Federation

Established in 1922, the Union Internationale Motonautique (UIM) is the world governing body for all Powerboating activities including Aquabike. It is fully recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and is a member of the Association of the IOC Recognized International Sports Federations (ARISF) and of SportAccord. The UIM has 63 affiliated National Federations. As the Internationally recognized authority for world power boating, the UIM is charged with protecting and building the future of the Sport on behalf of its national federations and competitors and is responsible for creating a safe, accessible, unified and thriving world renowned sport.

Cluster Yachting Monaco

The Cluster Yachting Monaco is  an association of different organisations and companies operating in the Yachting industry which aims to bring together professionals working in the Monaco marketplace.

The Cluster was established at the initative of the top level comittee (Conseil Stratégique pour l’Attractivité de Monaco) founded by the Monaco Government in 2014. The primary goal is to interact and generate dialogue with decision-makers and develop synergies between professionals, with a willingness to be open to other related business sectors and provide the very best services and products to the yachting and maritime sector.



Energy Observer

Our vision of the future consists in drawing our energy from nature, without damaging it, and without wasting it. This is the vision we wish to share throughout the planet with our innovative project. To do so, the team has taken on both a human and technological challenge with Energy Observer: the first self-sufficient energy vessel with zero greenhouse gas or fine particule emissions that is powered by hydrogen and renewable energies, thanks to energy coupling.
