TECH TALKS

At the end of each day, teams have an opportunity to present their projects to the public, other participants and an international Jury at daily Tech Talks which are broadcast live on social networks.

alternative fuels & advanced yachting CONFERENCE

This conference will address the questions of technology awareness for the maritime and yachting industries regarding alternative fuels and advanced state of the art technologies.

CONFERENCE IEMA

The International Electric Marine Association (IEMA)—the first industry-backed organization advocating for national and international policies to facilitate the global marine sector’s transition to zero emissions by 2050—will present its annual report at the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge 2024.

QUALIFYING LAPS

Competitors in the Energy and Solar classes will engage in a 20-minute competition on a closed-circuit course spanning 0.5 nautical miles. The finishing times will dictate the sequence for the Championship Race.

YCM SPEED RECORD

Boats will be timed over a specified distance, following the guidelines inspired by the 1904 ‘km course’ rules.

ENDURANCE RACE

For the endurance challenge, all classes will race for as long as possible on the course to demonstrate their boats’ energy capabilities, on a course open for 4 hours.

The Hydrogen round table at the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge presents an objective analysis of hydrogen’s potential in the maritime sector.

CHAMPIONSHIP RACE

Two by two per Class, boats compete on a course set in the YCM Marina. Each race is a qualifier with one being eliminated each time.

Boats will navigate a slalom course, and the classification will be determined by the time it takes to reach the finish line.
