1 challenge 3 classes

The boats are divided into different classes based on their energy source or technological approach. This ensures fair competition among participants.

Energy Class

Initiated by Y.C.M in 2018, teams craft propulsion systems for provided catamaran hulls, capped at 10kWh energy onboard.

Solar Class

Boats meet class specs, using only solar power. Starting with a full battery, recharges during races are solely via solar panels.

open sea Class

The Open Sea Class is mainly open to exhibitors in the YCM Marina and boats already on or about to enter the market.

YCM E-BOAT RALLY

In addition to the traditional tests (maneuverability, endurance, etc…), the first YCM E-Boat Rally will showcase electric boats available on the market to give the public a glimpse of the future of boating. The rally will take place on a 21 nautical mile round trip course between Monaco and Cala del Forte in Vintimille, where competitors can recharge their units and showcase them to the Italian audience.
