The thrilling races, set against the stunning backdrop of Monaco's coastline, make for an unforgettable spectacle. Each team, whether backed by a prestigious university or a group of passionate innovators, vies for supremacy, pushing the boundaries of what's possible on water.

TRIALS

One by one, boats will be timed while sailing a distance of 1 kilometre between 2 marks in each
direction consecutively.
Boat may start after receiving authorisation to go from the Organisation.
The winner, all MEBC participants together, will be the boat with the best average time over the 2
consecutive runs recorded by the organiser.
Additional runs may be granted at the organiser’s discretion.
The timing of the speed record will be done by tracking alone.

Boats will sail for a maximum of 4 hours around a closed course that will be detailed in the Briefing.

Boats will start in a mass fleet start:

Boats will have to be in water, in YCM Marina, 30 minutes before the start.

Boats failing to be in the water 30 minutes before the start will take 1 lap penality for this race.

Boats will complete a timed run on a slalom course that will be detailed in the Briefing.
Boats will start one by one in a running start.

Boats, two by two starting from standstill, will compete on a standard power-boat match-race course.
The course may vary depending on the circumstances and will be detailed in the Briefing.

TRIALS

One by one, boats will complete a timed run on a set course detailed below. Boats will begin free-floating from the starting area at the sound of the starting gun.

One by one, each boat will sail from a dock and return as per drawing below. Boats will start in the docking area from a stand still position at the “gun”. The visuals of the entry buoys will be provided in advance.

One by one the boats will complete a timed run on a slalom course detailed below. Boats will start underway from a starting area at the “gun”. The distance of the buoys is expected to be 20-25m. The last buoy will be a special buoy which should be cornered and perform the slalom backwards. The visuals of the buoys, including the last special buoy will be provided in advance.

The aim is to complete the run within the quickest time recorded by the Organiser. One by one, boats will start from the dock. The manoeuvres to complete the run will be described in the Briefing.
