The Monaco Energy Boat Challenge and the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation are thrilled to introduce the “Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation Sustainable Yachting Technology Award“.

 

Dedicated to recognizing and supporting outstanding initiatives presented by universities or research institutes during the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge . The winning organisation will receive a grant of 25,000 euros to further develop and implement their solutions.

 

The primary objective of this grant is to encourage universities to contribute groundbreaking innovations that align with the principles of sustainability, environmentally responsible technologies, emission reduction and energy efficiency applicable for the yachting sector.

APPLICATION RULES

  • The Award is open to ALL universities/research institutions.
  • The project must be developed at a university or research institution.
  • The project must have a significant impact on the future of yachting.
  • The project must be dedicated to reducing emissions or improving energy efficiency in the yachting sector.
  • The project's maturity level must be at least Level 3 (proof of concept) of the Technological Readiness Level (see the registration form).

  • Award Application Closure
  • Nominees Announcement
  • Finalist presentations in Monaco
  • Award Winner Announcement at the MEBC Closing Ceremony

GRANT CONDITIONS

  • Update the FPAII and the MEBC Organisers on the advancement of the project and allocation of the fund every 6 months for 3 years from the grant attribution .
  • Use the grant for the sole purpose of the project which was awarded by the Jury.
  • Present the progress of its technology at the 2025 edition of the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge .
