Building the future of propulsion

Launched in 2018 by the Yacht Club de Monaco (YCM), this class invites teams to design not only an innovative cockpit but also the most efficient and sustainable propulsion system—exclusively powered by green energy sources. The YCM provides all participants with a standardized catamaran hull, allowing teams to concentrate their efforts on enhancing propulsion efficiency and optimizing cockpit functionalities.

WINNER 2024

Oceanos – NTUA was established in 2016 and consists of 70 undergraduate students from various institutions. Our team is located at the NTUA campus and is organized into five sub-teams. We have actively taken part in the HydroContest for two years (2017-18) and have been participating in MEBC since then. Our biggest achievement is securing the 2nd place overall in 2023, including 3 1st places. Our objectives extend beyond competition, focusing on the broader impact of green energy and contributing to a more sustainable future.
