At the end of each day, teams have an opportunity to present their projects to the public, other participants and an international Jury at daily Tech Talks which are broadcast live on social networks. Presentations will also be available online. It’s a chance for teams to talk about their technology and innovations and for all participants to learn from each other. Several Tech Talk Prizes are awarded at the end of the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge.
The Técnico Solar Boat team, representing the Institut Supérieur Technique, has firmly established itself as a leading force in the realm of solar-powered boating since 2015. Their unwavering commitment to excellence and expertise has garnered them a strong reputation in the field. Notably, in 2019, their dedication and proficiency were recognized with a remarkable second-place finish in the Solar Class A at the prestigious Monaco Challenge.
At the heart of their achievements lies their flagship vessel, the SR 03, which serves as a testament to their technological prowess and innovative design. This remarkable boat boasts cutting-edge features and capabilities that contribute to its outstanding performance and adaptability across diverse water conditions.
One of the standout features of the SR 03 is its unique twin-engine system. This advanced propulsion system harnesses solar energy to power two engines simultaneously, providing enhanced speed and maneuverability. The twin-engine setup ensures optimal power distribution, allowing for efficient operation even under challenging conditions. This innovation not only enhances performance but also reinforces the boat’s reliability and endurance during races or long-distance journeys.
