The team was created in 2015 by 8 Naval and Oceanic, as well as Mechanical Engineering students. In 2017 TSB competed for the first time in Monaco with its first solar prototype. In 2019 the group achieved its best result with an incredible second place in the Solar Class A. This year, the team will compete with its first hydrogen powered boat (the same that competed last year), but with some improvements.
Instituto Superior Técnico is the largest school of Architecture, Engineering, Science and Technology in Portugal, involving a community of over 10,000 people. It aims to contribute to the development of society, promoting excellence in higher education, in the fields of Architecture, Engineering, Science and Technology by developing Research, Development and Innovation (RD&I) activities.
