This year, Team Sea Sakthi aims to develop its electric catamaran by refining critical systems based on insights gained from previous iterations. A key emphasis is placed on strengthening the in-house electric propulsion system through focused performance optimisation, improved durability, and tighter system integration to ensure consistent, high-efficiency operation under demanding competitive marine conditions. Alongside drivetrain advancements, the catamaran’s cockpit structure is being upgraded through the integration of a new bio-mass–based fibre within the composite layup, enhancing durability and structural performance while maintaining lightweight characteristics. These targeted developments reflect a balanced approach to innovation and sustainability, enabling Team Sea Sakthi to progress through data-driven design while reinforcing its presence on an international platform for responsible marine engineering.
